ISDN gives you a fast, reliable, digital dial-up connection to the Internet for a single user or LAN, through which all the basic functionality can be accessed more quickly than through a normal Dial-up connection (64k per ISDN channel).
Xtra offers a range of pricing plans for customers who use ISDN to connect to the Internet, including:
NZPlan ISDN
With NZPlan ISDN you can connect to Xtra from virtually anywhere in New Zealand using an ISDN phone line and Xtra's 087 30 30 33 access number. On NZPlan ISDN you pay only $3.00 plus GST for each hour you are online (per 64k channel).
Please note:
- ISDN Dial-up Connections are subject to Telecom New Zealand local calling fees and line rental.
- Part hours of connection time will be charged per second.
- There is no minimum monthly charge.
- Billing is monthly in arrears and will be included on your Telecom phone account.
- Customer services are available to all Xtra users free of charge by calling 0800 CALL XTRA (0800 22 55 98) 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- ISDN may not be available in some areas.

Advance Pricing Plans
Xtra offers a range of "pay-in-advance" pricing plans so you can choose the pricing plan that best suits you. After you have used your monthly hours you'll still only be paying the standard hourly rate ($3.00 per 64k channel plus GST for 087 access). Please note that these plans are not available to customers using an 0800 number. To change your dialler to our 087 number, click here.

- Prices quoted apply per 64k channel.
- Unused hours cannot be accumulated from month to month.
- You cannot change from an Advance Plan to any other Xtra pricing plan within 30 days.
- All charges are conveniently billed to your nominated Telecom account. The Advance Plan monthly fee is billed in advance, and any additional hourly charges incurred (ie hours used over the allocated monthly rate) will be billed in arrears.
- These plans are available to registered Xtra customers and can only be selected through the Change Your Pricing Plan page.
- Part hours of connection will be charged per second.
- If you change from a Flat Rate plan or an Advance plan to NZPlan, you will need to wait 30 days before you can change back.
- The 087 30 30 33 number is charged as a local call. If local call charges apply to you, they will also appear on your nominated Telecom account.
- The Xtra service may not be available in some areas.
