The Quake 1.06 Patch

You will need to install this patch if you have the registered version of Quake 1.01 already installed on your computer. It has several bug fixes, and is required for the new Quake games XTRA will soon be running on the server. If you have already upgraded your registered copy of Quake with the 1.05 patch, DO NOT use the 1.06 patch. You will need to either... Download the shareware version 1.06 from XTRA if you are using a shareware version of Quake. Reinstall Quake if you have the registered version, then install the 1.06 patch as described below.
Installing the 1.06 Patch:
	Download the patch.
	Unzip the file 'q101-106.zip' to your \quake directory, and answer yes to overwrite the files.
	Run the file 'patch.exe' from your Quake directory.
